Specialty store

   This type of retail store specializes in one category of merchandise or a specific market segment. Some smaller specialty stores cater to affluent consumers, while larger specialty chain stores such as the Gap and Banana Republic appeal to the more price-conscious consumer. Examples of specialty chains are Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Bebe, Caché, Chico's, Gap, Guess, Old Navy, Tal-bots, Victoria's Secret, and Wet Seal. Examples of smaller specialty stores are Barneys New York, Henri Bendel, and Jeffrey's.
